Lakeside Living: Exploring Sebring’s Beautiful Waterfronts

Sebring’s charm stretches beyond our historic downtown district. Because of our unique positioning on the Lake Wales Ridge, we are home to some of the most beautiful lakes in the state!

September 29, 2025

Much of our natural beauty unfolds along the shimmering shores of Lake Jackson, which you get a peek of when driving on US 27 or on Lakeview Drive when heading into downtown.

Covering over 3,200 acres with clear, sandy bottom waters and a maximum depth of about 25 ft, this freshwater lake offers scenic, relaxing vibes and inviting recreational options right in the heart of the city.

The Pier at Lake Jackson

Next to the Sebring Civic Center Library and the Highlands Lakeside Theatre, you’ll find the Lake Jackson City Pier Beach- complete with soft sandy shore, covered picnic tables, kids’ play areas, and public restrooms. Lake Jackson is a perfect stop for family outings or a peaceful lakeside lunch date. The City Pier is a local favorite spot for early‑morning anglers and sunset watchers.

Water Activities with Lakeview Water Sports

Located near Veterans Beach on Lake Jackson’s west side, Lakeview Water Sports offers pontoon boat rentals. It’s a great way to glide across open waters when you’re visiting, go fishing, or just spend the day beating the heat on the water! You can always pull up to Don Jose’s Mexican Restaurant for dockside margaritas too- if that’s your thing!

Picnic & Scenic Spots

For quiet lakeside relaxation, try Veterans Beach, Hidden Beach (near Faith Lutheran Church), or City Pier Beach. All of these spots are popular public swim and picnic spots on Lake Jackson with sandy shores and shade structures. Veterans Beach and City Pier Beach also have grills, and playgrounds for the kiddos!

Bring a picnic basket filled with tasty snacks, a blanket, and some towels for a day of lake fun!

More Lakeside Adventures: Lake June in Winter (Lake Placid)

Lake June offers another pristine escape from the hustle and bustle of life. Nearby, Lake June Pontoons rents pontoons, deck boats, and jet skis for full‑day fun, offering delivery and guided rentals too.
